Shadow Hill Shelties is 100% committed to improving the Shetland Sheepdog breed. We feel that in order to accomplish this, it is necessary to let exceptional shelties go to other homes, where they can help improve other lines and influence the breed beyond what our local operations can. For this reason, it is not uncommon to see us place much better dogs than what other kennels would keep for themselves. Not many breeders are really willing to sell BIS level bitches like BIS/BISS CH Shadow Hill Wabeek Flyin Free. We are even committed to seeing the breed improve internationally. We are willing to send AKC specials quality dogs abroad, be it to Latin America or Asia, where they can influence the breed's further development and contribute to a more global approach to the dog sport. An example of this is multiple BIS winning Brazilian/Columbian CH Shadow Hill's Blue Ridge Range who currently resides in Brazil and Multiple BIS American/Korean/International CH Shadow Hill's Blue Turquoise.
